SOME BEAUTY SECRETS FROM KIM KARDASHIAN
TIP 1
SHAMPOOING
Kardashian washes her hair every
two days, which gets the thumbs-up from our favorite stylists. "Don't
wash your hair every day, because that can dry it out," says hairstylist
Chris McMillan, who recommends using a gentle shampoo and conditioner a
few days a week and a deep conditioning mask once a week. To keep her
hair shiny and manageable, Kardashian says, "I use Moroccanoil and Carol's Daughter Monoi Hair Mask. They make your hair so soft.
TIP 2
Kardashian has a trick for wiping
away flecks of shadow. Before applying, she says, "I powder under my
eyes, so you can see the white powder, then brush it off." Another trick
we like for long-lasting color: Dust a layer of that same translucent
powder from the lash lines to the brows before applying shadow.
TIP 3
Kardashian is loyal to Nars Blush in Orgasm, and mixes it up with Revlon lipsticks and Yves Saint Laurent glosses.
To
find your best blush color, gently pinch your cheeks and match the
blush to the color you see, says makeup artist Jillian Dempsey. "If you
have acne or a ruddy complexion, choose a tawnier shade, so the blush
doesn't call attention to the redness."
For lipstick, the
perfect nude should be just a bit brighter than your natural lip color,
says Bobbi Brown, makeup artist and founder of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.
TIP 4
Kardashian's lashes are out-of-control luscious. On her own, she says, "I layer mascaras," specifically, Lancôme Doll Lashes and M.A.C. Zoom Fast Black Lash mascara.
She also says, "I want to learn to put [fake] lashes on." Our best tips
for falsies: Put a dot of glue on the back of your hand. Use slanted
tweezers to pick up the false lash by its base, and drag it through the
glue. Tilt your head back so you can see your lash line in the mirror,
and apply the false lash carefully along that line. Give the glue a few
minutes to dry before putting on mascara.
Tip 5
"My most essential product has got to be Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes in Night Calming,"
says Kardashian. "I need a makeup wipe at all times. That's the only
way I take my makeup off." Going to bed with a clean face is key for
preventing acne and even wrinkles. "Cosmetics can hold on to pollution,
and you'll end up sleeping with a load of free radicals on your skin,
which can contribute to cellular damage and early aging," says Howard
Sobel, clinical attending physician in dermatology and dermatologic
surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center in New
York City.
I really like all these tips, People really underestimate Kim for her sense of style but seriously though, she is gorgeous.
